Abstract

Serverless computing has emerged as a transformative paradigm in cloud computing by eliminating the need for server management. This paper explores the architecture, benefits, and limitations of serverless platforms such as Function-as-a-Service (FaaS). Key advantages include automatic scaling, reduced infrastructure costs, and faster application deployment. However, challenges such as cold start latency, vendor lock-in, and security concerns continue to affect adoption. The paper reviews current research trends and proposes potential solutions for improving serverless performance and interoperability. The study provides insights into the future evolution of serverless technologies in distributed cloud environments.
